MWiB is a relatively new movement in the Methodist Church, operating in a different way from previous women’s movements, in that we are self-funding, with no centralised staff or budget.  Our name is not intended to be exclusive, but indicates our origins.  We are keen to make ecumenical links, although in these early days, with so much going on, we have not really had the time or capacity to put much energy into doing so.  Of course, many Methodist women belong to Local Ecumenical Partnerships, most commonly with URC congregations, and here we have encouraged women’s groups to tap into our resources, without using the MWiB name.  I hope that you and others in CWF will feel they can do the same.
