Welcome to the C.W.F. Autumn
Newsletter and Booking details for the
2016
Convention at The Hayes Conference Centre,
Swanwick, Derbyshire.
The details are as follows:-
Dates:
Friday
26th February to Sunday 28th February 2016
The
Key Speaker: The
Key Speaker will be Kelly Wellman, a Baptist minister, mentor and coach who has
been involved in Soul Survivor and Children’s and Women’s ministry.
The
Communion Service: will
be led by Shirley Eastman
Bible
Study: Yvonne
Attry
Craft workshop: Sally Faulks
Liturgical
Dance Workshop: Also we need a Volunteer who is prepared to
lead a Dance workshop on the Saturday afternoon as well. So if you are
available for any of these tasks please let Yvonne Attry know as soon as
possible.
The committee have decided
for next year 2016 to have workshops in Dance, Craft, Singing etc.
Nominations
for the position of Treasurer (or a Joint
Role) and one Executive Officer will be received at the 2016 Business meeting.
At
the Conference in 2015
The Traidcraft Stall raised
£475.00
Alzheimer’s Society and
Antony Nolan Trust both raised £344.88
The Bible Society (for
Bibles in China) raised £489.26
Bookstall raised £63.80
And now to the all important
cost of the weekend:-
The
committee have decided the cost will be £140.00 for an en-suite room and £115.00
for rooms in the main building. Book
early; as usual you can book and pay in one go or you can pay a £50.00 deposit
now and then 2 more
payments before 31st January 2016.
Day
visitors are more than welcome The cost, including morning
coffee, lunch and afternoon tea will be £40.00
Subsidy
Fund We have a Subsidy fund, which is there to help any
member who might be deterred from coming by the cost of travel and/ or the
weekend. If you would like to know more
about this, please contact the Booking Secretary, in confidence.
The preferred method of
payment is ideally by bank transfer either by internet banking or from your
bank. We still accept cheques but,
if you pay by this method, please, please make sure you have enough money in
your bank for several weeks to give the cheque time to be cleared and paid.
